Help!!!! I need help with my 10 1/2 month old son, I am trying to get him sleeping in his own bed! We just got settled into our own place, he's been sleeping with me and my husband off and on for the past 10 months due to us living with family! I try to just let him cry, but he'll cry forever and NOT go to sleep! How long is too long to let them cry, does anyone know!?!?!??! If I get him to sleep before I go to bed he'll sleep in his own bed/own room for maybe 2-3 hours, then he wakes up and sometimes I can just pat him back to sleep, but other times he won't! Should I go pat him back to sleep or let him cry himself back to sleep?!?! I don't know, but I know he's gotta start sleeping in his own bed if we want another baby!! If someone can help, PLEASE e-mail me back @ elicialindros07@live.com (I'll check that before I check here). Thank You So Much!!!

When my baby is laying down or just being held he wont stop kicking his feet and waving his arms, I've seen other babys do this but not nearly as bad as him. He does this most of the night too. He moves constantly during sleep, is this normal?

Like everyone else i suggest a warm bath always does the trick. i am 31 weeks pregnant and i had trouble with my back before so no change now.
i also use a tens machine! my physio suggested that, i used it on the highest setting for 1 min at a time for 3 mins. I find this helps along with the bath.
Godd luck hope that has helped.

Trust me- we all have days like this. I often feel so relieved and relaxed that I survived another day once all the kids are in bed. I would say about the screaming when he is not getting attention two ideas to try:
1. ignore it or put him in his bed to scream where you can't hear him.
2. if he is old enough try reverse psychology and tell him he threw a better tantrum last time and that you aren't impressed at all. Kids act out to see how we will act and respond to their behavior. If you ignore it or encourage it it will quickly go away because he will realize that he isn't going to get a reaction out of you.

Hi Everyone!

We would like to present you with a new internet project "New Baby Assistant". It is intended for documenting and subsequent monitoring of duly and qualitative performance of all complex of actions over care of the child in the first years of his/her life. This similar documenting has a huge value at revealing the reasons of various deviations from a theoretical ideal in development of the child.
It is absolutely free-of-charge for all comers. As founders of New Baby Assistant enthusiasts have acted, which have become parents themselves. They have felt sharp necessity for similar service to provide their children the best care but could not find such kind of service, so they have done it themselves. Besides, employees of the medical institutions specialized on work with children have taken part in creating the service New Baby Assistant.

http://www.newbabyassistant.com/

Hello everyone. I am new in this site and also a first time mom to be. I am about 6 to 7 weeks prego, but first doctor's appointment in a week will determine exactly the weeks i am.

ONE of my big concerns at the moment is...boyfriend and I are living in a semi-finished basement. To be honest, I am not exactly sure how safe is down here. Is big enough but it doesnt seem to have been completely finished. I've moved in with boyfriend a few months ago, and now that we have found out im prego, i am very worried there are risks to living in a basement. We can't afford to move out at the moment, at least for another year or so. He really doesn't look that worried and thinks is fine for the baby etc...and i am somewhat making a bigger deal than what it is.

What can I do to make this basement safe for baby and us. I can't even seem to get sleep lately, just thinking I am inhaling some toxic fume that's not visible. My parents want us to move out but we can't afford it. Please, any advice to make this livable, safe, and secure until we move out?

PS- This is a rental home with 3 floors (basement included). He's been taking care of his mom and his neice, but he's realized we need to move out. Even though i wish i could do that right now. There are 2 dogs in the house and I can't stand the smell. This is why apart from spending time at work, most of my free time I have to spend it stuck in basement because I cant take the dog hair, and smell. It seems that there's not much care in anything upstairs. (ventin)

Advice to make a basement livable please. What safety actions should we make before bringing baby here? Is the landlord responsible for any fixtures in the basement? what are our rights with that?

Thank you so much for rreading this long post, but i am a bit desperate here :(

Hi,

A little about myself, I am in the Army and have been for the last 4 years. My situation is a little difficult...my girlfriend and I are 23 weeks along but I only get to see her every couple weeks and it varies. This a little upsetting since she really has to deal with a lot of things on her own. I try and be as supportive as I can but there is not a whole I can do when I am away.

If there is someone out there that has had to go through a "long distance" pregnancy and has some advice please respond.

I have tried to avoid thinking about when I actually have my little girl because I will be away from her as well and that is going to be even more difficult.
